Your Travel Piece Could Be Right Here (Yes, Here)

We want to showcase your travel stories. The good, the bad, the ugly. Preferably the good.

A good travel story is powerful. It motivates us to go somewhere new. It sheds light on places we may never visit. They’re amusing, a great way to make a new friend. And they force us to ask ourselves questions about the good life. Everyone has a good story to tell.

Readers will hopefully come to trust us to handpick and deliver fun tales and buzz from around the travel community. That’s the idea behind When in Roams. There’s a lot of fun stuff going on out there and we want to help keep track of the madness.

We are interested in specific, anecdotal pieces, veering away from lists and guidebook info and focusing on personal accounts and little vignettes. If you’re interested in having a piece featured, now is a great time to submit! A piece can pertain to food, party, culture, events, backpacker trends, a memorable hostel, or tale of transit. You can regale your craziest night out, a bucket list item, or an under-the-radar city. Up to you. We want to showcase your personal touch on your travel accounts. We encourage your creativity.

We focus on the fun stuff. We like the inspirational, the good-to-hear, something that would make your best friends or even a perfect stranger envious and eager to travel.

You can send a submission or pitch to submissions@wheninroams.com for the chance to share a travel piece. We’ll have a look and get back to you as soon as possible.
